Great product! I was worry at first that it will not work but it worked perfectly and the attached instructions of how to program that new smart key to my car, saved me the high $360 amount the locksmith ask for the same exact $30 buy here and a free program processThank you!

In order for this fob to work you have to have a working key fob with a key cut for the vehicle. Once you get the new fob you download the vehicle's manual from the fob maker's website. The programming instructions are in the manual. I drove the vehicle to the dealer's parking lot to do the programming in case I screwed up and rendered the fobs unworkable, but the programming worked just as described. One caveat: you have to sit in the car during the entire process. I opened the door and got out and I had to start the process all over again. A real money saver!

This remote key works on my 2020 Acadia. Looks and feels like the original.I was more than just happy to dump the dealer's attempt to sell me a second keyless remote.-and freaked out at the low price on Amazon. It seemed like one of those 'too good to be true'.Bought one and had it two days later.The remote needs to be programmed (cloned from the master) before use.If you don't have a working keyless, then you are at the merciless dealer.The vehicle's owners manual may or may not provide a procedure. The internet may guide.The 2020 GMC Acadia owner manual does have the procedure. For security it requires a working remote.It's weird, its wickedly time cadenced and slow, but it does work IF you follow the instructions TO THE LETTER.Tip: I had to do it using flashlight illumination because my garage lights radio interference (RFI) with the wireless signals it uses. It took three tries to get it done.Otherwise, a dealership is likely to screw you while doing it for you.There is also a blank key. I'm not sure if a non-dealership keymaker can cut the blank to match the original, but it's there.

Does not work on my car will have to go to a dealership will be expensive.

Purchased this from Amazon for $40.00. Instructions came with the FOB, said it would take up to 30 minutes to program. After an hour of following said instructions and a lot of frustration I called locksmith and asked them if they could program. They said they could but it would cost me $80.00. GMC dealer to buy replacement FOB and program was going to cost me $390.00 plus tax. Same locksmith that is charging $80 to program was going to charge $125 additional if I didn't have the FOB. So.... $200 plus to get this same thing done just going to the locksmith or $400 to go thru GMC dealer or the PITA to go this route was the best way to go. If the programming would have worked like stated then this would have been a home run, instead a lot of time wasted trying to program and then ending up at locksmith. Total charge $120 bucks.

I thought for the price that this was just the shell but it is the whole thing, motherboard, battery, and all. I was not able to get the new remote programmed but my mother really just wanted a new shell so I swapped boards and I am going to try again later to program the second one. Her metal key was bent on her old fob, so unless I can fix that I'm not sure the old one would be much use anyway since I can't get the key ring part back in. There is a card in the package with a QR code on it that will take you to instructions on how to program the fob. You need to know the year, make and model of your vehicle. It appears to be great quality. FYI, to get the case open if you want to get the board out, just take a flat screwdriver, stick it in the area where the metal key would normally be (not real deep) and twist it. The two halves will come right apart without scratching up your nice new fob.

We tried 4-5 times. Requested instructions from the seller who did promptly send the link to instructions for my 2018 GMC Acadia. On the last try it finally went through. Also found instructions in my car instruction manual that were very helpful. It saved me a boatload of money!
