Ultra Slim Size But Delivers Huge Value
Does my husband love these? He has bought nearly every friend he knows a pair! When an admiring, overzealous friend inadvertently broke my husband's pair putting them back in the case (how??) I had to immediately get online to replace them:) I was thrilled to find they are available from Amazon. The advantage to ThinOptics is not in the way they perform, because after all, glasses meant to enhance your vision. However, the fact that they are so small and portable make them far preferable to regular reading glasses for those who only need glasses to read. The color selection is great if you are looking for a little pizazz. While they are a little more expensive than drugstore "cheaters" the size and ability to attach them to your keychain or purse fob make them an excellent value for people who have a tendency to lose things. These glasses go everywhere my husband goes and have never been lost. The protective case is slim and sturdy allowing them to be easily placed in a pocket without worry of damage if that is how you want to carry them. I thought they would be a little difficult to get used to wearing (no arms) but that has not been an issue. They stay put on his nose and are lightweight. I don't believe they are not meant for all day use but my husband wears them for long lengths of time while looking down at business information or on the computer without a problem.

Lovely product in a super small package
Now this is a lovely product! I hate carrying my regular reading glasses in the case around just for the sole purpose of being able to read small print in darkly lit restaurants. So I was forced to lean on people to "read" the menu for me or just ask the waitstaff for their "special". But these little keychain glasses work perfectly so I can now read the menu quite easily. And as you can see from the pictures it's small and fits in my pocket so it can easily come with me. Doesn't look too bad either. It's not overly comfortable (i.e., it won't replace your regular glasses) but it absolutely works for menus or other small print where you need a few minutes to read it.

A very practical and useful product
First time I bumped into armless reading glasses was at an eyeglasses store in France. The brand was Nooz. I was so impressed by it, I bought two pairs to bring back to the US and found that they are so useful, I need more of them! Unfortunately, Nooz cannot be found in the US. So I looked for alternatives. Then I found ThinOptics. Material wise, ThinOptics has decent quality plastic optics. The optical performance is more than satisfying. The construction of the bridge, however, is kind of suspicious. It is basically a flexible wire with one of the lenses molded on each end. But it is holding up pretty well after 2 months of light use. The good news is ThinOptics will replace your glasses for free if they break. So I am willing to give it a try. What makes ThinOptics great is also the bridge. It is so flexible that the glasses can be folded in half and packed into a key chain size case. OK, it's slightly bigger than a regular key chain, but I have no problem carrying it around in my pocket. The convenience more than makes up for the slight compromise in the construction. Other notes: The height of the lens is a bit short because of the compact design. It is no problem for reading books or newspapers which are usually placed at a lower level. If you plan to use it on computer screens which are about eye level it might be less comfortable. Also, the nosepad surface appears to be made of sandpaper. It could leave a scratchy feeling on your nose after wearing it for a while. All and all, I think ThinOptics makes the right compromises in their design and delivered a very practical and useful product with good quality.

Love em
Best high use item I have ever bought. Love them. The protective case is made well. Work great. Make great gifts for friends who use readers. You just have to get the strength or magnification from them. If I have my car keys. I have my glasses. They hook on well and take little space.

The easiest way to travel with readers
Talk about convenient! I almost forgot these were on my keychain. They stay securely in their case until needed and work just as advertised. Lasted two straight hours on my nose during a board meeting. My traditional readers would have been on and off my face 30 times in that space of time. When I was done, they disappeared back into their case on my key ring. Since these are new I will not comment on scratches. Thinoptics I have owned in the past have scratched. Minor, hairline scratches only, but they do scratch. I am hoping these will be improved.

Expensive, works ok, REALLY bad keychain case design
Probably one of the most expensive pairs of reading glasses I have and I have A LOT. The rimless, frameless design does require the wearer learn using the glasses effectively. They do work, however, the case is horrible and will get scratches onto these expensive reading glasses. The case is not completely enclosed. It has a sliding button to push the glasses out of the case. If the lens get caught near the edge of the case, there will be scratches. Second, the button slide uses a slot which also exposes the glasses to debris in ones pocket or even keys! Again, potential scratches on your expensive glasses! Good try but case design needs work. Otherwise, you'd have a pair of expensive scratched up reading glasses on your hands.

Love these
Great idea and good quality product. Have used them numerous times while shopping to read small print on labels, feel secure on nose while wearing and go back in fob easily after doing it a few times. Only rated 4 stars on scratch resistance because I have not had them long enough to rate this. Bought two pairs to have a spare. Always have them in my pocket and have shown to numerous friends who then wanted to know where to get them.

Fantastic all around glasses.
These are the best reading glasses I have ever owned. Now I can carry them around everywhere with ease and for once cannot forget them in the car or at home. The smart design is very durable, easy to take out of its case and even can be used without taking them out completely for quick use. I carry them with my car keys and not afraid to lose or sit on them. I highly recommmend ThinOptics glasses and don't forget the lifetime warranty.

Easily scratched
These are very handy. But they get scratched just by looking at them. Keychain system without any protection whatsover against dust particles. For the price I would expect glass or some space age Polymer. I think they're a month old now, took them out twice. Still, scratched just by carrying them around. No soft padding on the interior nor is there any form of protection from the outside world that is probably your pockets. At least they work as advertised....
