My chosen locksmith would not guarantee their work if I use this key.
My chosen locksmith would not guarantee their work if I use this key. First, I had to go to my local dealership and verify my ownership of the vehicle before they gave me the code so I can make a replacement key. Even though this code was free, I still needed to visit the dealer. I did not have access to locksmiths in the area who is willing to cut this key even for cash. Even though I say, it's on me if it does not work. They just would not do it. I guess if I lived somewhere else, perhaps some other locksmiths will do it. Forget the car dealership, they will not touch this either. Since I can't return this, someday, I may have use for it, even for just emergency valet key or something.

Key works perfectly!
Worked perfectly for my Element. Had a local locksmith cut it for $40. I used my $60 Autel AP200 obd dongle (the white one, not the red) to program it myself with my iPhone. Easy peazy! No complaints.

Ordered this to replace the keys for my old 2002 CRV ... keys were coded with no problem and the thickness was just right to cut so it fit in the ignition starter nicely ...

Always read the reviews carefully before purchasing an item.
I was very confuse about this item; thinking that it was the key to use for my vehicle I bought it. And after I found out it wasn't and try to return it, the return policy says that I'll have to have to keep something I won't be able to use. What a disappointment!

worked for 2005 civic si , dealer declined to cut it because it was aftermarket but locksmith did it no issue

spare key
I just used it as a spare key to open the car without programming the transponder. $5 cut from the dealer and I saved a huge chunk of change.

Gotta understand what this is used for
People who leave a bad review for this do not understand the use of this; it's a key that CAN'T be cloned! (cut at a hardware store)..it needs to be taken to a locksmith, with your car and registration in, and a special tool is used for programming.
